why this book, why now

a 3,000 year old answer to a very modern ache.

We are the most sexually saturated generation alive, and among the least whole. Endless images, almost no wisdom. The Song of Songs is the oldest, boldest, unashamed voice in the room. Two lovers, unhidden, and a sacredness that never once looks away. Watch the short introduction, then decide for yourself.

Maybe shame was handed to you before you understood your own body. Maybe you are just now asking what you actually believe about sex, faith, and being human. Either way, this was written for you.

the book they were afraid of

For two thousand years, the church did not know what to do with the most sensual book in the Bible. So it hid it.

The age you had to reach, in ancient tradition, before you were allowed to read it.

The number of times the book names God. The only book in Scripture like it.

Sermons one medieval monk preached on it, without ever making it past the early chapters.

The book a great rabbi called the Holy of Holies. The holiest of them all.

Sex is something you do. Sexuality is something you are.

who is teaching you

part professor, part wounded counselor

For over a decade Nick was a professor and a therapist in sex and sexuality. He taught it in the classroom. He counseled it one on one, sitting with real people in real pain and real hope. He has spent years in the private business world too. Through all of it, one thing has never cooled in him. A passion for people finding freedom, and honest knowledge, when it comes to their sex and their sexuality.

What you meet in this study is not a distant expert. You meet a vulnerable professor and a wounded counselor who is honest about his own journey even as he teaches. He does not hand you tidy answers from a safe distance. He walks it with you.

Across six sessions he brings together the theological, the psychological, and the practical, all through the Song of Songs, his favorite book in all of Scripture. It is the one place the Bible sings about desire without shame, and it is where he has spent years learning to teach the whole of it, mind, body, and soul.

My own story, the broken parts and the healed parts, is not a disqualification. It is the reason I can teach this now, with less certainty and far more compassion.

honest answers

questions people actually ask

is this against the church?
No. This is taught by someone who grew up in the church, served on pastoral staff, and still holds his faith seriously. It is honest about the harm done in the name of purity, and it does not flinch from that. But it is not a hit job on faith. It is an attempt to recover something the tradition largely lost, and the Song of Songs itself is the evidence that it was always there.
is it explicit?
It is honest and direct about sex, the body, and desire, more direct than most Christian teaching has ever dared. It is never crude, and never gratuitous. It uses real language, real history, and real historical art. It is made for adults who are done being talked to like children about their own bodies.
can my small group use it?
Yes, and it is built for exactly that. The Digital plus Video tier includes Present Mode, so a leader can project the teaching video and slides to a room while everyone follows along in their own workbook. Group discussion questions are built into every session, at three levels: on your own, with your partner, and with the group.
do i have to be married?
No. Married, single, dating, divorced, the study is about becoming a whole sexual person, which matters wherever you are. Some prompts have an option to do them with your partner. Every one of them also stands on its own.
is it a real app?
Yes. It installs on your phone, iPad, or laptop and opens full screen like any app, and it works offline once loaded. There is no App Store download, you add it straight to your home screen, and we walk you through it in about thirty seconds after you buy.
is my journal private?
Completely. What you write in the Naked Truth boxes and note fields is saved only to your own device. No one else can see it unless you choose to share it.
